What are the different types of patterns in wood flooring?

Parquet is a style of flooring composed of wooden blocks arranged in geometric patterns. This includes herringbone, chevron or basket weaves.

Chevron is a parquet wood floor. It will give you a beautiful 'V' pattern.

Herringbone is another parquet wood floor (that is by far the most recognised and most popular). Single blocks are placed together to create the zigzag effect.

Plank flooring is a straight plank (often people refer to them as the same pattern as floorboards) placed together.
