Why do samples or wood products often look differently to their online counterparts?
To be absolutely brutally honest, nothing in life comes for free, it's always "cheap" or a "bargain" for a reason.
Online wood is often showcased as 'on sale' because it is low graded wood. Low graded wood is usually full of sap, knots and grain irregularities. In English- it has unforgiving holes that have been filled with the most awful, unfaltering colours.
The images used for cheap online products are often unrepresentative of the wood floor you will actually receive. That is why buying online wood can often cost you more in the long run because you end up sending it back (which is painful in itself right?!?) or you change the whole floor in a few years. Instead of rushing into buying your hardwood floor, wait and save if you have to (you'll be much happier with the end result) or speak to us about payment options.
Manufacturers initially grade the wood and this dictates the raw cost of the product. Huscroft Flooring then ensures that each plank of wood "looks" in the correct place when installed, we consider how to compliment the next plank and the whole floor comes together seamlessly.
Our video here shows us placing parquet blocks next to one another, considering the impact of each individual block (upon the floor already laid). We contemplate the flow of the floor and then replace certain blocks if they are unflattering (as can sometimes be the case with live, bespoke products).
Here at Huscroft Flooring we pride ourselves in our work and we ensure our floors are laid like artwork; with care, attention and creativity.
