Here we had an old mosaic floor over 50 years old that we refurbished in Manchester.
Unfortunately a lot of these floors are covered up with carpets or even concreted straight over.
We used sanding grits 40, 50, 60, 80 and 120. We then used Junkers base prime which is a quick drying solvent based undercoat designed for this type of oily wood. The floor was then buffed back before applying multiple coats of lacquer.
This illustrates just how bad the mosaic flooring was beforehand.
Black at the doorway from years of dirty wet shoes.
Panel lines showing through everywhere and absolutely no sealer left on the floor.
It just goes to show how floors in such disrepair can be made to look like new again.
Typical looking pine floor boards which can be found under most carpets in northern England.
Cleaned and flattened with the sanding process in preparation for sealing.
Stained to clients satisfaction and then sealed with coats of lacquer.
We use only quality stains and lacquers.
Old pine floor boards renovated in Harrogate.
On the removal of carpet our client wondered if we could do anything with this floor that was covered in muck and grease.
Sanded, stained and polished to bring the floor back to life.
No job too big or too small!
